Daniel E. "Danny" Nowell, 44 of Pearl, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at his home.

Visitation is at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 9:00pm Thursday, January 19, 2012. The family will also receive friends and family at Colonial Chapel from 10:00am until 12:00 noon on Friday. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Mt Zion Baptist Church in Mt Olive. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

Danny was born in Jackson, Ms on August 3, 1967. He attended Magee High School. He worked for Illinois Central Railroad as a conductor. His passion in life truly was his family. He is remembered by so many for his sense of humor and ability to make everyone smile.

Mr. Nowell is survived by his wife, Gina Welch Nowell, Pearl; mother & Step father, Faye Blair & Donald A. Duke, Pearl; grandmother, Pauline Blair, Brandon; brother, Jim Nowell (Linda Vernamonti), Poplarville, nephew, Taylor Nowell and niece Jordan Blair Nowell both of Poplarville; uncle, Will Blair (Beverly), Pearl, cousin, Tiffany Durr (Ray) and their son Jack Durr of Pearl and his faithful companion, Booger the dog.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Hollis Blair.

Pallbearers are Jim Nowell, Taylor Nowell, Ray Durr, John Mangum, Neil Blair, Hank Lewallen and Todd Welch.
Honorary pallbearers are Will Blair, Liston Blair, Bill Ferguson and Tommy Mott.
