Virginia Barnett, 92 of Mendenhall, Mississippi went to be with her Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, December 10, 1931 in Attala County, Mississippi.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Bro. Buddy Keys and Bro. Joe Hanna will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Virginia was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and art. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her youngest great grandchild Aiden.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, P.B. Barnett; son, Perry Barnett; father, N.G. Langford; mother, Kate Langford; brothers, Nathaniel, Wilton, Hugh and Oakley Langford.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Blair (Billy); son, Paul Barnett (Jeanene); daughter-in-law, Glenda Barnett; grandchildren, Misty Hanna (Joe), DeJay Blair (Megan), Grecian Ates (Brandon), Blaine Barnett (NeeCee), Paige Shows (Alex), Presley Barnett (Kayla), Parris Chandler (Jake) and Brady Barnett; nineteen great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Virginia Langford; cousins that were as close as sisters, Mary Frances Wansley and Wilma Dixon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Holbrook and the Simpson General Hospital staff for the wonderful care given.
