Van Carroll Cole, 87, of Braxton, Mississippi, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021.  He was born Monday, April 16, 1934.

Graveside Services will be held at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401.

Mr. Cole served in the United States Air Force. He loved spending time with his family and living on his land and farming.

He was preceded in death by his son, Van Carroll Cole, Jr.; parents, Dougard and Velma Cole.

Survivors include his daughter, Angela Burt; grandchildren, Richard Burt (Ashtonn) and Mary Candice Burt; great-grandchildren, Michael Van Owen Burt, William Massey, and Alana Marie- Sunshine Burt.
