Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 4:00 P.M. at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall for Truman Boyd Cline, 89, of Mendenhall, who passed away Monday, June 20, 2022 at Simpson General Hospital. Interment will be at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Mendenhall. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Stepanie Bowlin. Bro. Ted Bowlin and Bro. Chris Layton will officiate the services.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Truman grew up on a dairy farm in western Oklahoma. Shortly after graduation, he spent 13 years working as a seismographer before going into business for himself in 1966. He continued to work full time until 1999 and remained involved with his business until his passing.

Truman lived a long and fruitful life having seen most of the Great Depression and having vivid memories of the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church for over 55 years, serving as a Deacon for the majority of those years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Lois Ponder Cline; son, Richard Travis Cline; parents, Harry and Hercile Cline; brother, Dennis Cline; sister, Alzada Abercrombie.

He is survived by his children, Mitchell Cline (Hope) of Boone, North Carolina and Sheila Daniels of Mendenhall; three grandchildren, Tyler Daniels, Justin Daniels and Ethan Daniels.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Smith, Larry Ponder, Wendell Ponder, Buster Shows, Robby Hansborough, and Joshua Lamon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Baeuerle, Duane Fewell, Larry Jones, Chuck Morgan, Philip Hopkins, and Howard Fewell.
