Sarah Pridgen Young

Sarah Pridgen Young, 90 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Jasper General Hospital in Bay Springs, Mississippi. She was born on Saturday, August 18, 1934, in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Taylorsville Methodist Church, Welcome Street, Taylorsville, Mississippi, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi with Bro. Timothy Beard officiating. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

Mrs. Sarah was a member of the Taylorsville Methodist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She enjoyed doing craft work, working in her yard, singing in the choir at church.  She former member of The Green Sprouts Garden Club.  She was well known as a person that loved to socialize with her family and friends.   She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ledrew and Minnie Kenne Pridgen; and brothers, John "Jack" Dill and Bobby Joe Pridgen.

Survivors include her one loving son, Marty Pridgen (Annette) of Madison, MS; one brother, Dayton Pridgen (Jo Ann) of Taylorsville, MS; four nieces, Penny Pridgen (Billy), Stacey Pridgen, Kim Hill, and Mitzi West; one nephew, Rory Dill; two great nieces, Zoyee Hill and Kasey Jones; two great nephews, Skylar Pridgen (Angel) and John West (Jessica); special care giver/friend, Lynette Boyd; and a host of other family members and friends.
