Roma Elaine Thornton, 79 of Mize, MS passed away from this life Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Boswell Center in Magee, MS. She was born Wednesday, June 16, 1943 in Mize, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 09, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Calvary Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Mize, Mississippi. Bro. Rudy Jackson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Elaine loved to listen to gospel music, take car rides, go to church, and drink diet cokes. She enjoyed her visits home and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Sarah Thornton; sister, Geneva Sue Bynum.

Survivors include her brother-in-law, James Bynum; nephew, Kerry Bynum (Cassie); niece, Lisa Bryant (Bobby), and a great-nephew and niece, and a great- great nephew and niece.
