Roger Gale Taylor, aged 71, of Mize, MS, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Born on March 23, 1954, in Laurel, MS, Roger was a talented musician and artist who made a living working with his hands. He was a devoted father and grandfather, cherishing his family deeply. His love for his family was only surpassed by his passion for using his talents to praise and worship his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Roger is survived by his son, Kegan Taylor and wife Brittany; his beloved grandchildren, Aiden Ray Taylor and Ember Rain Taylor; his brother, Gregg Taylor and wife Tamela; his sister, Alesia McMahon and husband John; his nephew, Blake McMahon; his nieces, Lauren McMahon and Jackie Luckey; and his great-nephew, Bryce Gandy, along with great-nieces Aubrey Gandy, Noelle McMahon, Scarlett McMahon, and Bailey McMahon.

He was preceded in death by his father, R.G Taylor; his mother, Patsy Stubbs Taylor; and his sister, Debbie Taylor Luckey.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 9:30 am until the funeral service at 11:00 am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, located at 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Jones Family Cemetery in Mize, MS, with Bro. Tony Keys officiating. Pallbearers will include Mikey McCallum, Blake McMahon, Tyler Carlton, William Carlton, Christopher Williams, and Roland Ingram.
