Becky Myers Bishop went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in Houston, Texas at the age of 83. Becky was born on December 24, 1929, in Magee, MS. She grew up in a very loving home, the only child of Bailey and Una Myers. She graduated from Magee High School in 1950 and was very proud to have been a member of the cheerleading squad. Becky then attended Mississippi Southern College(now University of Southern Mississippi) where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She graduated with a B.S. in Education in 1954.

In November, 1953, Becky married her high school sweetheart, Wiley E. Bishop. They resided in New Orleans and Lake Charles before settling in Lafayette, LA in 1975. One of her biggest passions in life was cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. Becky loved collecting cookbooks and cooking delicious recipes that were passed down by her mother and grandmother. She was happiest when in her kitchen and everyone looked forward to Becky's good old country cooking.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey and Una Myers and her beloved husband, Wiley Elmer Bishop. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Wiley Bishop and wife Renee' Zinser Bishop of Woodstock, GA, and John Mark Bishop and wife, Denise Truelove Bishop of Houston, TX. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Danielle Renee' Bishop and Nicholas John Bishop of Houston, TX, and Jessica Renee' Bishop and Justin Wiley Bishop of Woodstock, GA.

A chapel service will be conducted on Sunday, January 27, 2013, at 2:30pm, at Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA, by Rev Steve Horn, Pastor of First Baptist Church in Lafayette.

A graveside service will be conducted by Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Magee City Cemetery in Magee, MS at 2:00pm.
