Dr. Pamela "Pam" McCollum, 68 of Mize, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Thursday, November 19, 1953, in Simpson County, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel at 302 8th Avenue SW, Magee, Mississippi, and on Saturday, July 30, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Maranatha Baptist Church, 5601 Hwy 35, Mt. Olive, Mississippi 39119.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Maranatha Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery on SCR 57 in Mize, Mississippi. Brother Rudy Jackson and Brother Jacob McKenzie will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Heather McKenzie, Mrs. Donna Ainsworth, and Mr. Nate Ashley. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Ms. Pam was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. She loved serving the Lord and spending time with her church family. She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. She is a graduate of Mize High School. After high school she attended Hinds Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi. She then attended William Carey University where she obtained her PhD in nursing. She retired as a Nursing Instructor at Holmes Community College for over twenty-five years. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, John McCollum; mother, Doris Little McCollum; and sister, Wanda McCollum.
Survivors include her special cousins, Paula Everett Prince (Al) of Magee, MS and Judy Everett Yates (Ronnie) of Magee, MS, Jack Everett of Mt. Olive, MS; special friend, Rose Hutchinson of Mize, MS; and a host of other cousins, family members, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Al Prince, Ronnie Yates, Matt Prince, Jack Everett, Dwight Gentry, and Rodney Wells.
