Michael Overby

Michael Overby, 58 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Monday, October 31, 2022, at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, September 26, 1964, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 5:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi, and on Thursday, November 3, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Coat Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 03, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. at Coat Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Coat Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Donnie Guy and Brother Orlando Rankin will officiate. Special music will be performed by Mr. Wesley Stringer and Mrs. Tiffany Blair.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Michael was a member of Coat Baptist Church in Magee, Mississippi.  He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time in the outdoors, and his church family, but most of all spending time with his loving wife.  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Jeanette Keen Overby.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-two years, Beth Cole Overby of Magee, MS; two brothers, Elmer Overby and Virgil Overby (Teresa); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Freeman, James Freeman, Dalton Freeman, Jacob Overby, Matthew Sistrunk, and Paul Overby.
