In Loving Memory of Mary Ellen Mullins

Mary Ellen Mullins, born on November 22, 1948, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and devotion to God.

A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm on Thursday September 10, 2026, at Unity Baptist Church; 187 Simpson Hwy 28 W, Georgetown MS 39078. A Graveside will follow at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel of Mendenhall is in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Ellen was a woman who loved the Lord and sought to live her life according to her faith. Her relationship with God was an important part of who she was, and her trust in Him carried her through the joys and challenges of life. Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Mullins, as well as her sisters, Hazel Therrl, Jean Wiggins, Nora Raily, and Mavis Bullock, her brothers, Aubrey Cameron, James Cameron, Glen Cameron, Ricky Bullock, Benny Bullock, and Jerry Bullock, and her very dear friend Faye Bridges.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers and sisters, Gary Cameron, Linda Foster (Hillary Foster), John Bullock (Mary Bullock), Bob Bullock (Judy Bullock), Molly Slade, Tajuania Duckworth, and Evelyn Ponsler.

She is also survived by her children, Donald Mullins, Stephanie Herrin (Scott Herrin), Mary Ellen Shramek (Tobie Shramek), and Brittany Mullins, along with her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Mary Ellen's greatest treasure was not found in material things, but in her faith and in the people God placed in her life. She loved her family deeply and leaves behind generations who will carry her memory, her love, and the lessons she taught them.

While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we do not grieve as those who have no hope. We hold firmly to the promise of God's Word that those who place their faith in Him have the hope of eternal life. We can take comfort knowing that Mary Ellen has finished her earthly journey and is now at peace with her Lord.

As Scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 4:7:

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”

These words beautifully reflect the faith Mary Ellen carried throughout her life. Her earthly journey is complete, but her legacy of faith continues through her family and all those whose lives she touched.

Her family takes comfort in knowing that this separation is not forever. Because of their faith in Jesus Christ, they look forward to the day when they will be reunited with Mary Ellen in the presence of their Lord.

Until that day, she will remain forever loved, deeply missed, and lovingly remembered.

Rest peacefully, Mary Ellen. Your earthly work is finished, your faith has carried you home, and you are now in the loving arms of your Savior.
