Mary Virgina May, 93 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 at her residence in Mendenhall, MS. She was born Tuesday, October 27, 1931 in Mt Olive, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 AM at Rials Creek Church. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Rials Creek Church in Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in Rials Creek Cemetery in Mendenhall, MS. Bro Charlie Meadows will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulon May; father, Henry Patterson; mother, Lois Thompson Patterson; grandchild, Wesley Knowles; brothers, Jack Patterson, Larry Patterson, Donald Patterson and Van Patterson; sisters, Catherine McNair, Johnnie Farmer and Bonnie Dillman.

Survivors include her daughters, Virginia Rickels, Deborah McCain (Frank) of Mendenhall, MS and Donna Knowles; grandchildren, Mary Ellen Rickels, Kristy Schoenecker, Zachary McCain, Kelly McCain and Courtney Gardner (Chris); great grandchildren, Latham Knowles, Madison Knowles, Alexis Schoenecker, Wesley Schoenecker, Kurstan Stegall (David), Ansley Gardner and Gracie Gardner; great great grandchildren, Maverick Nixon, Jeremiah Stegall, Christopher Stegall and Kallie Jo Stegall; brother, Pat Patterson; and sister, Jean Miller

Pallbearers will be Steve Prestwood, Frank McCain, Dennis Conway, Rusty Sherman, Latham Knowles, and Andrew Nixon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Schoenecker and Zachary McCain.
