Markus Quintin Fanning, 72, of Mendenhall, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on June 23, 1953 in Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Bro. Joe Hanna will officiate. Mr. Fanning was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and son.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Haynes Fanning; parents, Samuel Plato Fanning and Emma Lonello Fanning.

He is survived by his sons, Quintin Fanning of Laotto, IN and Matthew Fanning of Union City, CA; daughters, Patricia Ruckhaber and husband Mike of Spokane, WA, Lori Senger and husband Tony of Florence, MS, and Ginie Boyette and husband Justin of Fredericksburg, VA; nine grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
