Malcolm Eugene Wooley, 87 of White Oak, Mississippi passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at his home in White Oak, Mississippi. He was born on March 1, 1939.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Additionally, there will be visitation on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at White Oak Baptist Church. The funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 11:00 AM at White Oak Baptist Church. Burial will follow in White Oak Cemetery in White Oak, Mississippi. Bro. Jimmy Arender will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.
Mr. Wooley dedicated many years of his life to the Raleigh Company before retiring from Harshaw Filtrol Chemical in Jackson. After retirement, he developed a passion for farming and enjoyed driving his tractor. He loved taking both long and short road trips. As a member and deacon of White Oak Baptist Church, he was deeply involved in his community. He was one of the humblest men you could ever meet, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughters, Renee Covington (West), Necole Whatley, and Sandra Hammons (Keith); grandchildren, Hannah Valentine (Lane), Grey Dawson (Ashton), Brandon Hammons, Matt Hammons, Connor Whatley, Halle Hammons, Austin Whatley, and Zane Heflin; great-grandchildren, Kase Valentine and Kaden Valentine; sisters, Ava Glass, Ann Hughes, and Virginia Blankenship; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Becky Wooley; second wife, Pearl Wooley; sons, Wayne Wooley and Tommy Wooley; parents, Durwood and Alma Mae Wooley.
