Lora Mae Gilbert, of Lemon, MS went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2026. She was born January 31, 1928 in Lemon, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Goodwater Baptist Church in Lemon, MS. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00am at Goodwater Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Hamilton and Bro. Mike Walker will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

Mrs. Gilbert loved the outdoors, particularly quilting, gardening, and animals. She was a member of Goodwater Baptist Church in Lemon, MS. She enjoyed going on trips with her husband in his 18 -wheeler. Her family and friends will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Watson Jr. Gilbert; sons, Jerry Kenneth Gilbert and Jackie Dale Gilbert; daughter, Rita Babb; father, William Cleveland Peevey; mother, Bertha Vergiebelle Ashely Peevey; sisters, Laura Elizabeth Gaskin and Myrtle Smith; brother, Walter Peevey.

Survivors include her daughters, Bobbie Johnson, Patsy Waller (Terry), Wanda Clark; sons, David Gilbert and Clayton Clark; grandchildren, Robert Johnson, Tammy Phillips, Tiffany Gilbert, Jerry Cook, Brandi Grider, Tosha May, Saint Stewart, Ricky Gilbert, Crystal Liner, Stacey Jo, Michael Liner, Bradley Gilbert, Jarrett Gilbert, and Christopher Liner; and a host great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Gilbert, Jarrett Gilbert, Jerry Cook, Chris Cook, Jacob Cook, and Ricky Gilbert.
