Obituary

Lindsey Marie Jones passed away at her residence on September 29th, 2026, at the age of 40.

Lindsey was born at Womans Hospital in Jackson MS on 08/09/1986 she weighed 5# 3 ounces. She was welcome to our family by her parents and her 2 siblings. She completed high school at Taylorsville high school. Her thing she loved the most was her family and her 2 dogs Bentley and Hazel. Although Lindsey had a hard life at times, she never forgot the love she had for Jesus Christ. She always knew she was loved by God and that he walked with her daily.

She is survived by her parents Mark and Linda Jones and 2 sisters Kim Parker (Kevin) and Kayla Jones. She also absolutely adored her 3 nephews that she loved and played pranks on them everytime she could. Bryce Parker, Brody Parker and Brenson Blackwell. She was also surrounded by numerous uncles and aunts and cousins that she loved.

Lindsey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Shirley Jones, Helen Quarles and Cecil Quarles; uncles, Randy Jones and Dan Yawn.

Lindsey will be remembered by her kindness and helping others and love she had for her family. Now saying that she was very stubborn and opionated so you never knew what version of Lindsey you would get but we all knew she loved us and loved spending time with her family .

Lindsey we will miss you so much and we look forward one day to all being together. Mom and Dad love you to the moon and back and that will never change as long as we live. You were a very huge part of us and the space and heart ache that we feel will never go away. Our life has been changed for ever and it will never be whole again. But we all know that you are in the hands of God and for that we have a lot to look forward to when our day comes. I know I didn’t hold you as much as I should have or told you I loved you like I should and for that I will carry with me forever but I hope you knew in your heart that I loved you so much.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Taylorsville. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery. Bro. Tanner Watts will officiate.
