Linda Hard, age 77, of Mendenhall Mississippi , passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on December 26,1948 in Mendenhall, Linda Hard lived a life marked by kindness, strength, and devotion to those she loved. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Linda Hard found joy in spending time with family, reading her bible, playing with her grandchildren, dancing to music, and talking to her grandson every morning. She was known for her caring heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and a time well spent.
She is survived by her loving family, including her daughter Teresa Cook (Donnie Wilborn), her son James Cook (John Williams), her son Joseph Cook, her grandchildren Monica Cook, Cassey Wilborn, Alejandra Guerrero, Steven Cook, Erick Cook, Michael Cook, Miranda Cook, Janada Cook, Marissa Cook, Karter Tue, Kenan Tue. She was preceded in death by her husband James Mike Cook, her mother Gladys Tims, her father Gilbert Hard, her sister Peggy Hard, her brother Timothy Hard, her brother Billy Ray Hard, her grandson Joseph Cook Jr (Taylor, Riverleigh, Peighton, Scarlett, Landon).
Though her passing leaves a tremendous void in our hearts, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the love she shared throughout her life. Her laughter and her name will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at Colonial Chapel of Mendenhall on Tuesday. June 9th at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Mendenhall Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend and honor her memory.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered prayers, support, and kindness during this difficult time.
Forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
