Lee Olan Derrick, 74 of Magee, Mississippi passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on August 17, 1951.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM at White Oak Baptist Church. Burial will follow White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Anthony Grayson and Bro. Danny Adams will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.

Derrick had a deep love for Jesus and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. He was passionate about farming and gardening, and he worked as a carpenter and mechanic for several years. A dedicated worker and a fighter until the end, Derrick’s greatest love was for his grandson, Jayson Yates.

Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Carla Derrick; daughter, Ashlyn Derrick (Chance Feazell); grandson, Jayson Lee Yates; sister-in-law, Martha Derrick; nephew, Wylee Derrick; niece, Kalea Derrick White (Kevin).

He was preceded in death by parents, John Arliss Derrick and Wisie Ruth Derrick; brother, Ricky Derrick; both sets of grandparents; and a host of cousins.

Pallbearers will be Wylee Derrick, Keith Powell, Jr., James Smith, Dalton Smith, Seth Garrett, and Anthony Harvey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Grayson, Tim Frith, Jeryl Derrick, Jamie Smith, Dennis Smith, and Ace Bowen.
