Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Martin

Kenneth Wayne "Kenny" Martin, 76 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. He was born on Wednesday, July 3, 1946, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi, and on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. until service time.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Merchant Cemetery in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bro. Anthony Grayson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mr. Kenny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.  He was a lifelong resident of Smith County.  He loved his family, hunting and fishing, and gardening.  He was known to all children as "Papaw".  He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Boyd Martin; mother, Romarie Purvis Martin; grandson, Samuel Allen; niece, Jami Goodson; aunt, Barbara Martin; uncle, Charlie Martin; and cousins, Ronnie Martin, Dwayne Martin and Rhonda Lynn Martin.

Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Sandra Jordan Martin of Magee, MS; two sons, David Martin (Kathy) of Magee, MS and Craig Martin (Beth) of Puckett, MS; one daughter, Amanda Warren of Magee, MS; eleven grandchildren, Kyle Brown (Kasey) of Laurel, MS, Cody Brown (Catherine) of Petal, MS, Caytlin Horne (Tupac) of Raleigh, MS, Kristen Martin of Magee, MS, Conner Bruce of Magee, MS, Katelyn Tribble (Ethan) of Magee, MS, Candice Pannell (Brice) of Brandon, MS, Mason Martin (Gracie) of Taylorsville, MS, Zackary Warren of Magee, MS, Riley Martin of Pearl, MS, Leighton Boykin of Magee, MS; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Rebecca Goodson - Frith (Wendell) of Magee, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Canterbury, Cos Thompson, Bennie Jernigan, Burl Allen, Mike Jordan, Cameron Miller, Rocky Jordan, and Aaron Westbrook.
