Katherine Sue Stevens, 91 of Puckett, MS went to her heavenly home on Monday, March 10, 2025. She was born Thursday, January 18, 1934 in Puckett, MS.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with the Funeral to follow. All services will be held at County Line Baptist Church in Mendenhall, MS. Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Mickey Ferguson will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Sue worked and retired from Allstate after 30 plus years. She was a longtime member of County Line Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her yard, crocheting, quilting, and sewing for as long as she was able. She also enjoyed reading, especially her bible. Above all she loved her family and spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas S. Stevens; father, Laverne McLain; mother, Earline Puckett McLain; brothers, Robert McLain and Harry McLain; brothers-in-law, Rufus Stevens, Milford Stevens (Frances) and Billy Stevens; sisters-in-law, Marie Stevens and Grace Stevens; son-in-law, Keith Childers.
She is survived by her daughters, Dawn Stevens Elam (James) and Vickie Stevens Childers; granddaughters, Catherine "CJ" Elam Fitzhugh (Michael), Tori Childers Schallenberger (Lloyd), Rene Childers Fuller (Jeremy) and Christy Elam Watts (Byron); 7 great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Harold Stevens, Travis Stevens, Phillip Stevens, Danny Stevens (Diane); sisters-in-law, Linda Simmons, Pat Burnham (Monroe), Velma Stevens, and Pat McLain; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
Pallbearers will be Michael Fitzhugh, Jeremy Fuller, Lloyd Schallenberger, Byron Watts, James Elam, and Eli Fitzhugh.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to County Line Baptist Church or Church Cemetery.
