Judy Clarice Thornton, 74 of Mize, MS went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born Monday, January 8, 1951 in Magee, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:00 am until the service at 12:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Burial will follow in Fairmont Waco Cemetery in Mize, MS. Brother Ryan Talburt will officiate.  Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kemmis Wayne Thornton, Sr.; father, Edward Luckey; mother, Ruth Lowery Luckey; and grandchild, Christopher Rivas.

Survivors include her son, Kemmis Wayne Thornton, Jr. (Grace); daughter, Kim Thornton Rivas (Michael); grandchildren, Kellie Renee Meadows (Justin), Gracelyn Embry Thornton, Lacey Rivas and Victoria Rivas; great grandchildren, Levi Sullivan, Hunter Meadows, Ripp Meadows, Kaylee Eubanks and Brantley Eubanks; brother, Kent Luckey; sister, Shirley Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Pallbearers will be Justin Meadows, Jon Meadows, Kent Luckey, John Smith, Shawn Scott and Bob Booth.

Honorary Pallbearers are Levi Sullivan and Hunter Meadows.
