A daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, an aunt, and a grandmother . . . . all the titles she was handpicked and designed by God himself to be. She was intentional with her heart and her love was one of a kind! Then there's the many roles she chose . . . places, people, and things that she poured her heart into for many many years. Her most rewarding and fulfilling of all was serving our Lord and Savior as a pastor's wife alongside of her husband for 45 astonishing years in 8 different churches/communities. Of those years, she was also a vibrant and pillar employee of People's Bank for over 25 years. After her retirement from the banking world, she served alongside some wonderful women at Simpson County's Christian Women's Job Corps. All of these roles portrayed Johnnie's dedication and love for God, her compassion and loyalty to others, and the heart of diligence that she possessed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Joel Eavenson; daughter, Angie Eavenson; parents, Earl Warren and Jessie Ruth Cook Warren; father-in-law, GW Eavenson; mother-in-law, Verlene Eavenson; son-in-law, Stephen May.
Survivors include her daughter, Hope May; grandchild, Kason May; sister, Janet Sullivan (Gary Paul); nephews, Brock Sullivan and Justin Sullivan; nieces, Kim Chisolm and Jessica Hayes; sister-in-law, Sylvia Eavenson; and host of great-nieces and great- nephews; and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Kason May, Brock Sullivan, Justin Sullivan, Landon Hayes, Evan Chisolm, and Kenny Lofton.
