Jimmy Dale Franklin, 79, of Clinton, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2026, at The Madison Health and Rehab in Madison. He was born on November 9, 1946.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Burial will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Kelly Woods will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Franklin; children, Todd Salters (Deedra), Michael Franklin (Tammi), and Jacqueline Woods (Kelly); grandchildren, Candace Shorter (Mark), Ashley Fitzhugh (Aaron), Justin Salters, and Sam Franklin; great-grandchildren, Madison Shorter and Conner Shorter; brother, Johnny Franklin (Carol Ann); sister, Darlene Parker; daughter-In-law, Sherry Franklin.

He was preceded in death by son, David Franklin; parents, WB Franklin and Ola Christine Franklin; sister, Gertrude Emerson.
