Jenifer McCarty Runnels, 69 of Mount Olive, MS passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Saturday, June 2, 1956 in Laurel, MS.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Burial will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive, MS. Bro. Kirby Craft will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Jenifer was a loving wife, caring sister, and wonderful aunt. She was married to Mickey for 34 years. She was a devout Christian and a member of Concord Baptist Church. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo McCarty; mother, Sadie Ware McCarty; nephew, Jesse McCarty; niece, Ashley McCarty.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Michael Runnels of Mount Olive, MS; brother, Buster McCarty of Mount Olive, MS; nephews, Gilton McCarty, Hunter McCarty; and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Buster McCarty and Gilton McCarty.
