Hugh was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, that loved his family. No grass grew under his feet as he spent most of his waking hours working hard to provide for his family. A graduate of Mize High School he served in Korea as a Sergeant in the United States Army. An electrician by trade he worked much of his early career as an I.B.E.W., Local Union 903, Journeyman Lineman bringing in electricity to the rural south for the first time in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
A life long resident of Mize, he served for many years on the board of aldermen for the town. Master Gardener would be an understatement in describing his ability to grow a literal Eden on just about any plot of ground. Hunting deer with his two sons was a favorite pastime and he was also known to wet a hook now and again pulling many big catfish from Cohay Creek and other local-waters. Always outdoors, when he did take time to sit down he was surrounded by the critters he cared for; ranging from bantam chickens, cats, or his dog. He will be truly missed by his family and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Rayford Warren; step-father, Ather Hosey; mother, Roberta Craft Hosey; step-brother, Douglas Hosey; step-sister, Sue Robbins.
Survivors include his wife, Reudean Sims Warren of Mize, MS; sons, James Ray Warren (McKensie Pugh ) of Mize and James Michael Warren (Toni) of Mize; grandchildren, Mickie Warren, Brady Warren, Keelie Warren, Ashton Westbrook (Dylan), Kyndal Reese Warren and Oakley Rae Warren; great grandchildren, Kamden Westbrook, Ripley Westbrook and Tyson Westbrook; brother, Rickey Hosey (Robin); step-sister, Evelyn Linton
