Walt was born on July 7, 1967 and passed away on September 19, 2021. Walt leaves behind his father, Charles H. Jones and step-mother, Wanda Jones of Florence, MS; a son, James Walter Jones, Jr. of Abbeville, LA; one sister, Charlene Craft (Gregg Craft) of Smith County, MS; nephew, Dr. James S. Presgraves (Jean Presgraves) of Shady Grove, MS; one great-nephew, Alexander Presgraves of Shady Grove, MS; and numerous cousins and friends.
Walt is preceded in death by his mother, Shelby Jean Dukes and step-father, Mims Dukes of Shady Grove, MS.
Walt will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson County, MS.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi will be in charge of arrangements.
There will be a private family viewing on September 21, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. and a graveside funeral service for family and friends at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Logan Runnels, Rusty Arender, Mitch Jordan, David Wiley, Danny Arender, and Lee Hollingsworth.
