James Hulon Garner, 78 of Magee, MS went to be with his Lord on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was born Monday, January 21, 1946 in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, MS with a Funeral service beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Bro. Norris Ables and Bro. Gary Roberts will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his father, L.H. Garner, Jr.; mother, Dorothy Higgins Garner; and sister, Sandra Brewer.

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Peggy Jean Seymour Garner; daughters, Stacey Anderson (Jimmy) and Sharon Garner; grandchildren, Mac Anderson, Jackson Anderson and Beau Beauchamp; sister, Ann Abercrombie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Reed Abercrombie, Bryce Magee, Tommy Bishop, Alan Brewer, Kyle Brewer, and Jeffrey Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Anderson, Jackson Anderson, Beau Beauchamp, and Jimmy Anderson.

Special music will be performed by Dr. Sharolyn Magee.
