James O Butler, 77 of Mize, MS passed away Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Simpson General Hospital in Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was born Saturday, August 31, 1946 in Mount Olive, Mississippi.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 04, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Mize. Bro. Tim McNeil will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Perkins Butler; parents, JB Butler and Leslie Sullivan Butler; sister, Doris Lofton.

Survivors include his daughters, Deborah Janeen Raby (Joe) and Jennifer Butler Yelverton (Stacy) wife, Treta Walker Butler; grandchildren, Matthew, Marissa, Marlee Shows and Jessi and Caylee Yelverton; brother, Terry Lee Butler; sisters, Jean Clark, Joyce Bradshaw and Pleshia Wing.
