Mrs. Iris Ann Ford Nichols, 66, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

A Visitation will be held at Calvary Baptist Church in Taylorsville from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday July 21, 2026. A Celebration of Life will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Wednesday July 22, 2026, at 10:00 am. A Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Gary Roberts will officiate. Born on February 13, 1960, in Laurel, Mississippi, Iris was the daughter of the late Robert Ford and Katherine Anderson Ford. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and graduated from high school before beginning a career as a bookkeeper at Taylorsville Attendance School, where she served with dedication and dependability.

Above all else, Iris cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, caring sister, and treasured friend. She and her beloved husband, Gary Nichols, shared 47 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on faith, love, and family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to her life. Iris will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she freely gave to everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Nichols of Taylorsville; her son, Brad Nichols (Jennifer) of Taylorsville; her daughter, Amanda James (Chuck) of Brandon; and her three beloved grandchildren, Micah James, Asher James, and Aubrey Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Ford and Katherine Anderson Ford, and her brother, Sammy Ford.

Pallbearers will be Matt Shutez, Landin Jordan, James Dozier, Jeff Harrison, Todd Nichols, Brad Lowery, and Blake Lowery.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Micah James and John Michael Shutez.

Though she has departed this earthly life, the love Iris shared and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
