Ira N. Wells

Ira Wells, 64, of Mize, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023, at Merit Central in Jackson, MS.

Wells was a lifelong resident of Mize. He was a member of New Sardis Baptist Church. He worked most of his life in construction with his father and uncle. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to a friend or neighbor.

He was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Virginia Wells.

He is survived by his sister Glinda (Odean) Busby of Flowood, nephew Jason (Robin) Busby of Pulaski, and niece Molly Staley of Brandon and a host of other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, August 20 at New Sardis Baptist Church in Mize. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
