Hubert Lavone Fields Sr., 80 of Braxton, MS passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024 at his residence in Braxton, MS. He was born Wednesday, June 23, 1943 in Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall in 3077 Simpson Hwy 13, Mendenhall, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 11:00am at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall in Mendenhall, Mississippi. Burial will follow in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Braxton, Mississippi. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

He was preceded in death by his wife, Aundra Jean Kennedy Fields; brothers, William Fields, John Fields, Archie Fields and Wallace Fields.

Survivors include his sons, Hubert Lavone Fields, Jr. and James William Fields; grandchild, Brandon Fields; great grandchildren, Bailey Nicole Fields and Nathan Blaine Fields; and sister, Fay Shoemaker
