Hazel Jean Rushing, 82, went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2026. She was born to Johnny and Wauldean Jones on December 3, 1943 in Noxapater, MS.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on September 25, 2026, in the Mendenhall City Cemetery. Bro. John Paul Brown will officiate. Colonial Chapel of Mendenhall is in charge of the arrangements. 601-849-5031

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Willard Rushing Sr.; son, Jerry Wayne Rushing; father, Johnny Jones; mother, Wauldean Smith Jones; brothers, Junior Jones, and Burlin Jones.

She is survived by her son, Charles W. Rushing Jr. (Laura); daughter, Hazel Wauldean Wilborn (Ronnie); grandchildren, Brandi Rushing, Danielle Rushing, Dusty Rushing (Virginia); great grandchild, Colton Rushing; sister, Kathy Cliburn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family.

Pallbearers will be Buster Rushing, Ronnie Wilborn, Dusty Rushing, Jerry Wilborn, Gavin Lovorn, and Daniel Freeman.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Smith.
