Georgie Mae Brown, 69 of Pelahatchie, MS passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Tuesday, December 18, 1951, in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi, and on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi. Brother Matt Armstrong will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Mrs. Georgie Mae was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She retired from Mississippi State Hospital in January 2019. She has enjoying the retirement life spending time with her family. She also liked to sit in her recliner and watching traffic go by. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Harvey; mother, Nannie Mae Barnes; step-brother, Jeff Huff.
Survivors include her daughter, Lacey Brown Price (Freddy) of Brandon, MS; son, Chase Brown of Magee, MS; grandchildren, Bayleigh Price Colbert (Kirkland) of Raleigh, MS, Richard Price of Brandon, MS, and Grayson Price of Brandon, MS; great-grandson, Hudson Colbert of Raleigh, MS; step-daughter, Christy Brown McInnis (Carter) of Hattiesburg, MS; step-son, Chad Brown of Terry, MS; brothers, Buddy Jones of Pelahatchie, MS, and Bill Jones (JoAnn) of Pelahatchie, MS; sisters, Josephine Jones Rushton of Pelahatchie, MS, and Jackie Jones Hedgepeth (Joe) of Brandon, MS; step-brother, Don Huff of Morton, MS; sister-in-law, Brenda Huff of Morton, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
