George Elbert Carr, 90, of Vicksburg, MS, died Saturday, September 27, 2014, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mt. OlIve, MS.

Burial will be in Mt. Olive City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until service time Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mt. Olive.

Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, MS is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wesley Carr and Nina Blanche Ervin Carr and two
brothers, Edgar Leroy Carr and Joseph Wesley Carr, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Calhoun Carr of Vicksburg, two daughters,
Beverly Carr Cotton (David) of Vicksburg and Sheila Carr Rees (Gavin) of Union, KY.
He had one grandchild, Jennifer Rees Wilkinson (Geoffrey) of Louisville, KY and one great-grandchild
Rees Alan Wilkinson. He is also survived by one sister,
Eleanor Carr Lewis (Sidney) of Mt. Olive. He leaves behind
5 Step-Grandchildren, 13 Step- Great-Grandchildren, and
a host of neices and nephews.

Pallbearers are Larry Carr, Joe Carr, Mike Carr, Kevin Carr, Joe Carr and Charlie Carr.
