Dorothy Belinda Ashmore, 71 of Mendenhall passed away February 9, 2026. She was born January 15, 1955 to Roy Runnels and Dorothy Runnels.

Belinda married Jimmy Lewis Ashmore on April 7, 1972 and together they had two sons; Jimmy Ashmore, Jr. and Dustin Ashmore.

She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty years; son, Dustin; parents; brothers, Dewey George Runnels, Jimmy Runnels, Bobby Runnels, Gary Runnels; and sister, Cathy Runnels.

She is survived by her son; Jimmy Ashmore, Jr.; granddaughter, Faith Leigh Ashmore (Cole Carney); grandson, Dustin Ashmore; great-grandchildren; Fisher Sharp and Beau Carney. Brother, Tommy Runnels and sister, Shelia Waldrup. A host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
