In Loving Memory of David "Buddy" Vanderford.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Buddy Vanderford, a beloved father, husband, and friend, who left us on October 20, 2024 at the age of 83. Born on January 4, 1941, Buddy was a beacon of love, strength, and kindness.

Buddy dedicated his life to his family and his work. He was a loving Father, home builder, business owner and excellent fisherman known for his dedication, integrity, and passion.

His colleagues and friends admired him for his unwavering commitment and his ability to inspire those around him.

At home, Buddy was the heart of the family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories that will be treasured forever. His wisdom, humor, and gentle spirit made him a pillar of strength and a source of endless love and support. Buddy will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and kindness will live on in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Buddy. Your love and light will continue to guide us.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee, 302 Eighth Ave SW, Magee, MS. A second visitation will be held at White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak, MS on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 12:00pm until the celebration of life service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow in Dukes Cemetery in White Oak, MS. Bro. Mickey Ferguson and Bro. Danny Adams will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

He was preceded in death by his father, Lib Vanderford; mother, Mildred Bonds; brother, Lillborn Vanderford; sister, Gayle Westbrook.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Vanderford ;sons, Barry Vanderford (Anita), Brad Vanderford (Janet) and Ben Vanderford (Tanya); brothers, Jacky Feazell (Jan), Craig Vanderford(Cassondra), Phil Vanderford(Jessica); sisters, Doris Jordan, Linda Layton, Joan Grey (Bill), Bettie Braddock (Paul), Donnie Hodum (Jimmy), Wanda Korba (Kaiser), Susie Boyles (Mark) and Ellen Hodum (Hollis); grandchildren, Blake Vanderford (Hannah), Morgan McGee (Michael), Bradley Vanderford (Kelli), Lauren Thome (Trenton), Bethany Dixon (Luke), Libby Breazeale (Dylan), Brice Vanderford (Emma) and Brian Vanderford (Tori); great grandchildren, Abi Vanderford, Miles McGee, Scarlet Thome, Lincoln Vanderford, Andy Vanderford, Archie Vanderford, Grayson Thome, Briggs Vanderford and Sarah McGee; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Barry Vanderford, Brad Vanderford, Ben Vanderford, Blake Vanderford, Bradley Vanderford, Brice Vanderford, and Brian Vanderford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Morgan McGee, Lauren Thome, Bethany Dixon, Libby Breazeale, Rab Clark, and Fuzz Vanderford.​
