Billy Rex Magee, 81, of Mount Olive, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Covington County Hospital in Collins, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, April 29, 1941, in Mount Olive, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive. Burial will follow in McNair Cemetery on Jaynesville Road in Mount Olive. Bro. Joe Gardner and Bro. Bo Bankston will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mount Olive is in charge of arrangements (601-849-5031).

He was preceded in death by his father, Luther T. Magee; mother, Nettie Marie Manning Magee; brothers, Tommy Joe Magee and Jackie Magee.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Doris Magee of Mount Olive, Mississippi; one son, Rex Magee (Tootie) of Mount Olive, Mississippi; and one grandchild, Noah Magee of Mount Olive, MS.

Pallbearers will be Bill Powell, Dale McLemore, Jeff Magee, Tommy Earl Magee, Jeff Markert, and Ivan Colson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Batte and Frank Lee Baggett.
