Billie Faye Jordan King, 82, of Mount Olive, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. She was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1937.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mount Olive, Mississippi, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m.
The burial will follow in Mt. Olive City Cemetery. Dr. Bob Phillips will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031
Mrs. King was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was one of the founders of Mount Olive City Beautiful. She was a devoted substitute teacher at Mount Olive High School. She enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, and spending time with her friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Barney and Myrtle Tew Jordan; two brother-in-law's, Roger Thomas and James Trawick.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, James King of Mount Olive; two sons, James Keith King (Christy Lee) of Magee and John Kelvin King (Cheryl Ishee) of Mt. Olive; four grandchildren, Tyler King of Oxford, Christin Jordan King of Magee, Megan Massey Clark (Nathanael) of Water Valley, and Kelsie King of Mt. Olive; two great-grandchildren, Oliver Clark and Connor Clark, both of Water Valley; five siblings, Charles Jordan (Julie) of Brandon, Eva Thomas of Jackson, Barbara Almaguer (Rudy) of The Woodlands, Texas, Charlotte Trawick of Canton, and Judy Jordan of Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tyler King, Nathanael Clark, Kyle Curlee, Paul Thomas, Scotty Trawick, and Bill Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Powell, Lane Kimbrough, Bill Blain, Brad Johnston, Ronnie Kimbrough, Norman Johnston, Todd Mangum, Bodie Sartin, Chris Leonard, Bart Majors, Kevin Carr, Josh Hollingsworth and Mark Leonard.
