Annashi Leigh "Annie" Wyatt, 51 of Mount Olive, MS passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, September 16, 1972 in Laurel, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 302 Eight Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2:30pm at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee. Burial will follow in PineCrest Baptist Church Cemetery in Florence, Mississippi. Bro. Darryl Bone will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031
Annie dedicated her life to service, adventure, and family. She walked through life with a rare combination of strength, humility, and compassion that was an inspiration to all who were privileged to know her.
A lifelong educator, Annie embarked on her career in teaching at a young age. Throughout her 26 years of service to the community, she touched the hearts of generations of students, instilling in them a love for learning that would last a lifetime. She truly believed in each and every student that came through her classroom, and worked tirelessly to nurture them to their full potential. She poured love and passion into her teaching, always going above and beyond to ensure her students' success.
Annie's impact extended beyond the classroom. She had a deep love for travel and cherished the moments spent exploring the world with her family. Whether it was a road trip to a new destination or a family vacation spent cruising the Caribbean, Annie embraced the joy of exploration and making new memories with her loved ones.
In addition to her love for education and travel, Annie had a creative spirit and clever wit. She was an avid crafter, finding joy in creating things with her hands and bringing happiness to those who received her creations.
Annie's greatest gift was her ability to change people's lives for the better. With her kind and compassionate nature, she made a lasting impact on the hearts and minds of everyone she met. Her genuine care and support uplifted those around her, leaving a positive impact on their lives.
Above all, Annie was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Her love and devotion to her family and friends knew no bounds.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Buford Blackwell and Hazel Mims, Robert and Agnes Moore.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Wyatt; son, Cody Ray Wyatt; daughter, Ashleigh Nicole Wyatt; father, Alan G. Moore; mother, Dian Blackwell Moore; sisters, Brandi Nicole Welch (Trae) and Chelsea Lee Ellison (Cliff); nephews, Owen Brady Welch, Austin Ellison, Justin Kennedy (Jessica), Jonathan Kennedy (Theresa) and Jared Kennedy; nieces, Taylor Grace Welch (Gage) and Ava Claire Welch; and a host of other family.
Pallbearers will be Justin Kennedy, Jared Kennedy, Trae Welch, Ronnie Sullivan, Robbie Lofton, and David Seal.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Kennedy, Gage Pinson, and Owen Welch
