Alta Louise Mitchell, 91, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Old Garden Park Medical Center in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born Monday, January 6, 1930.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, November 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Magee City Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Mrs. Louise Mitchell was a member of Crosspoint Church in Gulfport. She worked at the Mississippi State Sanatorium from 1950-1977. She also worked at Boswell Regional Center from 1977-1983. She had a 35 year career as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vincent C. Lenaz; second husband, Shelby Wilson Mitchell; parents, James and Ada Barrentine; sisters, Addie Ola Hurst and Elizabeth Bennett.

Survivors include his son, Vince Lenaz; grandchildren, Hannah Lenaz, Anthony Lenaz, and Madalyn Lenaz; daughter- in-law, Katrin Lenaz; step-son, Shelby Wilson Mitchell, Jr.; step-daughter, Janet Colson.
