Obituary

Abbie Lynn Burnham Bragg, 33, of Puckett, Mississippi, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born Tuesday, August 11, 1987.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Mendenhall in Mendenhall, MS.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Puckett Baptist Church in Puckett, MS and burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery. Bro. Grant McElveen and Bro. Alvin Doyle will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee/Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Abbie was born with spina bifida and wore leg braces all her life. She endured countless surgeries and medical procedures during her lifetime but she never let her disabilities hinder her from living a normal life. Abbie was a 2005 graduate of Puckett High School. She loved the Puckett Wolves and was present when Puckett beat Weir to win its first championship. She loved watching football. Abbie loved sign language. She used her talent for sign language during special music at Puckett Baptist Church where she was a member of. Abbie loved World War II history, due to her grandpa Burnham being a veteran. In her later years she developed a love for woodburning. She made several pictures that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Though her life on this Earth was short, Abbie touched countless lives by what she was able to endure and overcome.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chester and Levi Burnham of Puckett, Pat and Ola Sullivan of Mendenhall, aunt, Susan Burnham of Puckett, cousin, Jay Shook of Mendenhall and uncle, John Shook of Mendenhall, grandmother-in-law, Ruby E. Bragg.

Survivors include her husband of 8 years, Anthony Bragg, parents, Jim and Teresa Burnham, sister, Bethany Rowell (Brett), mother and father-in-law, Eddie and Annette Bragg, brother-in-law, Randal Bragg (Beth) and 3 nephews, sister-in-law, Lora Bragg and 1 niece.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Burnham, T.J. Burnham, Jeffery Bain, Chris Bain, Ronnie Means and Randall Bragg.

The family would like to thank Dr. Keaton and Dr. Warren who gave her life at a early age and to all nurses and doctors at Baptist and U.M.M.C. who treated her during her life but most of all for God giving us such a special child.
